About Reduce My Footprint

It’s time to act
We need to capture and store carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to avert catastrophic climate change. Every scenario in the IPCC’s special report on limiting global warming to below 1.5°C requires large scale removal of carbon dioxide from the air. As much as 20 billion tonnes of CO2 need to be removed from the atmosphere every year from 2050. The mission of Reduce My Footprint is to empower climate conscious individuals and businesses to begin capturing carbon now.

We founded Reduce My Footprint to meet the need for early action. Planting trees is the cheapest, easiest and most effective way to begin offsetting carbon emissions, but only if we start now. When we look back on our actions 20 years from now we should be able to say we made the right choices.
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now”
– Ancient Chinese proverb
